Last night I went to go watch Gogol Bordello live in Santa Cruz.
They're this awesome Russian-Gypsy band that sings like weird but cool
songs, lol. Cathy and I totally thought that we'd be able to buy
tickets at the door and were hella bummed out that it was sold out:(
Thankfully, a dude sold us tickets. We were pretty irritated that he
profited $30 but atleast we got to watch:)
When the show finally started an hour and a half later, we aggressively
made our way to the front. It was the craziest experience I've ever had
(since I haven't really been to a concert and don't listen to rock).
And holy shit, I've never ever had to fight for my life like that
before. There were goddamn shirtless guys pressing their bodies around
me on all sides (and they started getting sweaty as the crowd pulsated
with the music), everyone was vying to get to the front, and there were
elbows, knees, and you-name-it being thrown around. I couldn't even
watch the band. After two songs and several bruises later, we left the
centerfront and all of its insanity.. But we did manage to squeeze our
way into a nice little corner that was still in the front. I managed to
capture a video but the sound quality is pretty bad..
My chihuahua is so adorable. Last weekend, he barked so that I'd open my door for him, barked for me to follow him, led me straight to his water bowl, and stared up at me. When I filled it up with water he quickly drank from it. I have trained him well, lol.
The heart was plucked from a sheep. Kathy and I decided that we're going to document each dissection so that we could have something to review prior lab exams.
But anyway, I'm in philosophy right now and the teacher is discussing Hepel's Absolute Idealism.
Damnit, I just remembered that I was supposed to bring running shoes for my bio class today... we're supposed to learn about the physiological benefits of aerobic exercise. That class is torture!
I have been totally slacking off in school. I've decided that today and tomorrow are going to be solely dedicated to writing out 5 chapters in biology, studying and reading all the handouts, writing my term paper for philosophy, finishing my chapter 6 notes, and completing the calculus homework. I feel sooooooo horrible for not keeping up. Ugh.
Now, if only someone would take my 7 hour shift tomorrow...
I was sitting in class when I decided that I missed blogging and its about time that I created another VOX:] Hopefully my goddamn ex-bf doesn't find this and hack into it again.. sigh
I've got so much to talk about, starting with this picture! Now, can you believe that this good looking dude was the same guy in marching band with me during my early years of high school? Good god, he surely didn't look this good back then. Unfortunately for him, he's still that same socially awkward, nerdy, son of a gun he was when he was playing his wind instrument, except now he's ridiculously photogenic. I was so enamored with this picture that I saved it to my desktop upon first sight. I hope to someday have a picture just like it.
2 weeks ago I was invited to go to Amy's birthday party. This chick knows hella chicks!
But anyway, god, my teacher is such a beaner. Why would anyone ever major in math.
major in math? i've always wondered what type of person would actually CHOOSE math as a major...because i hate it... read more
